Halsey Announces Two Intimate NYC Shows, Hints at ‘Nightmare’ Project on Social Media

Hours after taking the stage at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Halsey sent her fans into a frenzy when she blacked out her social media profiles. Now, the singer is stirring up her fan base even more with a few cryptic announcements.

On Twitter, Halsey announced that she would be giving two intimate performances at New York City’s Webster Hall, which recently reopened with a Jay-Z concert. On May 8, Halsey will perform her debut album Badlands in its entirety, while she will perform her latest album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom all the way through the following night.

Fans immediately started speculating that the announcement was tied to an upcoming single or album — some pointed out that with her two shows taking place on a Wednesday and Thursday, that left Friday, May 10 open for something new.

Others saw that tickets for the event would go on sale Friday, May 3 at 5:17 p.m. EST, which is a very specific time — so could something new be coming on May 17?

The speculation was only further flamed when Halsey updated her bios on Twitter and Instagram with a link to a website titled “Nightma.re.” (Also worth nothing: Halsey has a tattoo baring the word.) The site prompts fans to enter their personal information and write about the worst nightmare they ever had to “learn more about its meaning.” The site is officially affiliated with Halsey and Capitol Records, her label.

Tickets to see Halsey perform at Webster Hall on May 8 & 9 go on sale tomorrow (May 3) at 5:17 p.m. EST.
