The song puts the band in a tie for the most No. 1s on the chart by a woman or woman-led act.
Halestorm lands its fourth No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs airplay chart, as "Uncomfortable" rises 2-1.
The band’s fourth chart-topper ties the band with The Pretty Reckless for the most leaders by a female-fronted act. It’s also the first No. 1 by a woman or woman-led act on Mainstream Rock Songs since The Pretty Reckless ruled with “Take Me Down” in November 2016. (Next in line with the most No. 1s on the chart among women or women-led acts: Pretenders and Stevie Nicks, both with two leaders.)
The Lzzy Hale-led quartet has earned all its No. 1s in just over five years, starting with "Freak Like Me" in April 2013. Halestorm followed with two No. 1s, ”Apocalyptic” and “Amen,” from its 2015 album Into the Wild Life.
The track also bullets at No. 18 on the all-rock-format Rock Airplay chart with a new weekly high 4 million audience impressions, according to Nielsen Music.
"Uncomfortable" is the lead single from Halestorm's fourth LP Vicious, which opened at No. 1 on Top Rock Albums (Aug. 11) with 29,000 equivalent album units earned.
