In the clip, posted yesterday (Jan. 28), the rapper talks with Complex host Joe La Puma about the whole lot from the style references in his lyrics to his previous collaboration with Drake.
Future’s newest No. 1 album, Future Hndrxx Presents: THE WIZRD, options a number of sneaker references, together with shout-outs to Yeezy Boosts and Reebok on the track “Never Stop.” (In 2017, the Grammy-nominated star collaborated with Reebok to create the well-liked Reebok Furikaze Future.)
In explicit, La Puma asks the rapper about his track “Jumpman,” which contains a reference to NBA legend Michael Jordan’s eponymous sneaker line. The track first appeared on Future’s 2015 collaborative mixtape with Drake, What a Time to Be Alive. “‘[Jumpman]’ was good for me as a result of it was a success,” the rapper says. “But moreover that…I’m all Reebok.”
