Franz Ferdinand Deliver a Driving Performance of 'Lazy Boy' on Seth Meyers: Watch

78

Grammy-nominated band Franz Ferdinand stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers for a bass-driven performance their single "Lazy Boy" on Thursday night (Aug. 9). The Scottish indie rockers let rhythm lead the way by following a hard bass and drum pattern throughout the track while blue lights flashed to the beat.

Vocalist Alex Kapranos, dressed in a black button-up and jeans, kicked the show f by playing a two-handed shaker that he would later toss aside for his usual guitar. With his signature baritone voice and sardonic lyrics, Kapranos led the band by singing "Am I gonna get up, get up? Never!" with the attitude a pouting child.

Between verses, Kapranos made sure to show his David Byrne-style dance moves. The singer jumped up and down, awkwardly kicking his legs back and forth before plunging into the song's final chorus.

"Lazy Boy" is f the band's fifth album, Always Ascending. Check out the performance below.
