Foster the People get friendly on their latest Hot 100 hit "Sit Next to Me," and the California indie poppers effortlessly delivered the retro groove during their Tuesday night (May 22) performance on The Tonight Show.
The band's performance was brimming with old-school influences, from the song's echoing synths to frontman Mark Foster's slicked-over hair. FTP kept the mellow jam easy breezy with a no-frills stage setup, backed only by the glow blue flood lights. Their execution was musically flawless and funky enough to make any viewer feel welcome to take a seat and chill for a minute.
"Sit Next to Me" comes from Foster the People's third studio album, Sacred Hearts Club, which was released last July. They'll be hitting the road this summer in support Paramore on the upcoming leg their After Laughter Tour.
