Floyd Mayweather doesn't describe himself as a "soccer guy," but he is a fan Newcastle. And if the Newcastle United soccer club needed new ownership, the billionaire boxer would consider dipping into his funds to make a bid.
In an interview with the Sunday Daily Star in England, Floyd entertained the possibility owning the English Premier League team if the move could make him even more money.
Mayweather tells the Sunday Daily Star (H/T CBS Sports):
If Mayweather's team were to put together a business plan and his people did say, "Floyd, that can make money," the 41-year old legend says he'd like to get Cristiano Ronaldo on Newcastle to finish out his career.
We'll have to see if that time comes. But as now, Floyd remains a happily retired boxer - who may or may not be actively training for his MMA debut.
