The Brooklyn upstart's single "Leave Me Alone" continues to dominate the streets.
As Flipp Dinero's single "Leave Me Alone" continues to dominate the streets, it was only a matter time before the Brooklyn upstart inked a major label deal. On Tuesday (Aug. 28), Dinero signed a contract with We The Best Music, Cinematic Music Group and Epic Records.
"I'm beyond blessed to be given this opportunity," Dinero tells Billboard. "I think God for blessing me and my family and I just want to continue working and striving for better. Thank you Jonny, Sav and Khaled for embracing me as your little brother. Love you guys."
Both DJ Khaled and Epic Records President Syl Rhone gushed about acquiring the emerging New York talent. "I knew Flipp was a special type artist from the minute I heard him," says Khaled. He had a certain vibe to him that I knew the world would gravitate to and I’m proud to work with tomorrow’s brightest superstar.”
Rhone also had effusive praise for Dinero, saying, "It’s an incredible opportunity to partner with two the best music men who have their ear to the ground and their pulse on the culture. Flipp Dinero is undeniable!”
With his hit "Leave Me Alone" sitting at 4.5 million views on YouTube, Dinero seems poised to cause more tremors with his forthcoming debut album, which will be released soon.
“I’m extremely excited to be partnering up with Khaled, he’s one the best hit makers our time," says Cinematic Music Group CEO Jonnyshipes. "We are about to make a movie with Flipp.”
Dinero's manager, Kendell "Sav" Freeman, echoes Shipes' sentiments. “Flipp is definitely a phenomenal talent," he says. "I'm really excited about the partnership with Khaled.”
