Finneas O’Connell & Billie Eilish Tie at No. 1 on Hot 100 Songwriters Chart

Plus, DaBaby debuts at No. 9.

Finneas O’Connell continues his streak atop Billboard’s Hot 100 Songwriters chart, though he is joined at No. 1 by his sister, Billie Eilish, for a second week on the chart dated Aug. 3.

The duo tie at No. 1 on the chart thanks to their single “Bad Guy,” which the pair co-wrote together and holds at its No. 2 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 for a seventh total week.

Notably, O’Connell has ruled the Hot 100 Songwriters for every week since its inception on June 15, a whopping eight consecutive weeks. He concurrently stands at No. 2 on the Hot 100 Producers chart (after previously spending three weeks at No. 1).

The weekly Hot 100 Songwriters and Hot 100 Producers charts are based on total points accrued by a songwriter and producer, respectively, for each attributed song that appears on the Hot 100; plus, genre-based songwriter and producer charts follow the same methodology based on corresponding "Hot"-named genre charts. As with Billboard's yearly recaps, multiple writers or producers split points for each song equally (and the dividing of points will lead to occasional ties on rankings).

Elsewhere on the Hot 100 Songwriters chart, DaBaby debuts at No. 9, powered by four songwriting entries on the Hot 100: His breakout solo single “Suge,” which he co-wrote with JetsonMade and Pooh Beatz, leads at No. 12, followed by “Baby,” with Lil Baby (co-written with Lil Baby and Wheezy) at No. 42, “Cash Shit,” with Megan Thee Stallion (co-written with Megan The Stallion and Lil Ju) at No. 51, and “Under The Sun,” with Dreamville, J. Cole and Lute (co-written with Cole, Luther Nicholson, John Welch, Asheton Hogan and Peter Mudge) at No. 88.
