Father John Misty to Donate a Week of Profits From Webstore to Refugee Assistance Agency

With the whereabouts  the 2,300 children under the age 12 separated from their parents at the border still unclear, Father John Misty has pledged to donate money to one the leading organizations helping migrants reunite their families in the wake the chaos sewn by Pres. Trump's “zero tolerance” immigration policy. The singer  announced on Monday (July 2) that from July 2-6 all the prits from his ficial web store will be donated to RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services).

Among the items fered on the site that will help fund the vital work RAICES is doing to mitigate the damage done by the policy that Trump later reversed in the wake widespread, bipartisan condemnation are vinyl and cassette copies Misty's latest album, God's Favorite Customer, T-shirts, lighters and baseball hats.

Misty joins a large group artists who've pledged to support the separated families, including Jack White's Third Man Records and John Prine's Oh Boy Records, as well as Bleachers' Jack Antonf, who promised to match donations up to $10,000 to the Actblue fundraiser to Support Kids at the Border. The National's Aaron Dessner has also encouraged donations to that organization, as did CHVRCHES' Lauren Mayberry.
