Father John Misty is in the midst a mini U.K. tour before the drop his next album, God's Favorite Customer, and he's playing through the bulk it before a live audience for the first time.

One the new tracks, "Please Don't Die," got the premiere treatment at BBC Radio 1's Biggest Weekend in Belfast on Friday (May 25).

The ballad shows f Misty (a/k/a Josh Tillman)'s cloud-skating range and the more sardonic (and fatalist) strains his romantic side: he's begging for the object his affection to be patient and understanding, especially when it comes to reading intense text messages sent during long nights out on the road.

Watch Misty perform "Please Don't Die" below. God's Favorite Customer hits streaming services and retailers June 1.
