The achievement makes them the Okay-pop boy band with the second-most weeks at No. 1 on the chart.
EXO proceed their reign with "Love Shot" because the Okay-pop supergroup's new single spends its second atop of Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart.
The sultry electronic-pop throbber spends one other week at No. 1 on World Digital Song Sales, promoting a further 2,000 copies within the week ending Dec. 20, based on Nielsen Music. "Love Shot" debuted on the chart with 2,000 copies offered final week. The tune is as soon as once more the best-selling Okay-pop tune in America this week, and will probably be 2018's closing No. 1 on the World Song Sales chart.
The second week atop of World Digital Song Sales with "Love Shot" ups EXO's whole weeks at No. 1 to 5, making them the Okay-pop boy band with the second-most weeks at No. 1. The outfit first hit the highest slot when 2016 single "Monster" spent two weeks at No. 1 in the summertime, scored one other week on high of the chart in August, with these two extra weeks with "Love Shot" pulling them forward of BIGBANG's 4 whole weeks. Among all Korean acts, EXO has the third-most weeks at No. 1.
Elsewhere on the charts, EXO's earlier single "Tempo" jumps from No. 19 to No. 12 on this week's World Digital Song Sales for its sixth, nonconsecutive week on the chart. EXO's Don't Mess Up My Tempo album spends its seventh week on World Albums, staying robust at No. four this week.
