Dwyane Wade turned back the clocks in Miami last night, scoring 15 the Heat’s final 17 points including a game-winner over Ben Simmons, as the Heat picked up a 102-101 victory.
Making the moment even more special, Wade was wearing his signature shoes with the name Joaquin Oliver written on it, in honor one the 17 victims who died in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Oliver was buried in a Dwyane Wade Miami Heat jersey earlier this month and the 36-year old shooting guard thanked him for being his angel last night in Miami. Speaking with reporters after the game, Wade said he wanted to pay “some due respect to Oliver and his family.”
Wade finished with a game-high 27 points in just 25 minutes action as the Heat improved to 32-29 and moved to within one game the Philadelphia Sixers in the seventh seed.
