The Sacramento Kings will be flying in style this preseason. According to The Athletic, Drake has loaned his Air Drake charter jet to the Kings for their trip across the globe to India.
The Kings have a pair of matchups on tap against the Indiana Pacers in Mumbai on Friday (Oct. 4) and Saturday (Oct. 5), so team owner, Vivek Ranadive, ensured that the players and coaching staff had all of the luxuries for their 20-hour flight out Monday (Sept. 30). The report goes on to say that the deal was made off the strength of a previous relationship between Vivek and Drizzy.
With the $200 million Air Drake somehow not having any Wi-Fi, players made alternate plans to stay occupied during their time in the air. "I might have to write a new album in that 18-hour flight, it’s going to be a long one," baller-rapper Marvin Bagley said. “I’m definitely going to have my pen and pad ready." Guard Buddy Hield added he's going to have to find a new show to binge or rewatch Game of Thrones.
Either way, you can't feel too bad for them. Billboard has reached out to Drake's reps for confirmation.
