Anderson .Paak's Aftermath debut is expected to arrive sometime in 2018 and could be here sooner than expected. According to Aftermath A&R Ty Cannon, Dr. Dre has begun mixing the California native's highly anticipated Malibu follow-up. Cannon's July 10 Instagram photo finds Dre behind the boards, alongside his engineer Quinten Gilkey.
The album's title is yet to be revealed, but Cannon's post was captioned with the hashtag "Frequencies," possibly alluding to the project's name. During a May live-stream, Dr. Dre hopped in a session with Anderson and may have slipped up and shared the upcoming LP's title. "Check his album, it's coming out soon, 'Oxnard Ventura,'" Dre mistakenly muttered.
The 32-year-old posted a text message conversation with Dr. Dre just last week (July 6), confirming the West Coast legend's involvement with the project. "Thank You for letting me just do my thing with your project. I promise I won’t let you down. I’m in it," the Aftermath Entertainment CEO confidently proclaimed.
