Djds, the Los Angeles duo known for their smart, cutting-edge productions and long list of all-star collaborators, is back today (June 10) with the shimmery, summer-ready “Magic Loop.”
The track is a collab with L.A. singer Dijon, who lends his ultra-smooth vocals to the effervescent production that you should now take a second to add to your seasonal backyard party playlist.
The track follows Steel & Copper, Djds’ excellent 2019 collaborative EP with Nigerian dancehall artist Burnaboy and Dijon's debut EP, Sci Fi 1, which dropped in March.
Last year, Djds–Sam Griesemer and Jerome Potter–released their genre-hopping album Big Wave More Fire, which included guest spots from Vic Mensa, Charlie Wilson, The-Dream and Khalid. They produced “Another Sad Love Song” from Khalid’s smash debut American Teen, were major collaborators on Kanye West’s Life of Pablo, working on five album tracks and receiving a Grammy nomination for their work on “Ultralight Beam” and most recently worked with Lady Gaga, scoring the prelude to her Las Vegas residency show Enigma.
“Magic Loop” is a weekend-ready reminder exactly why these two are so perpetually in-demand. It's out now on Loma Vista Reordings. Listen below.
