Plus, NLE Choppa logs his sixth week at No. 1.

Diiv debuts at No. 7 on Billboard's Emerging Artists chart (dated Oct. 19), as the shoegaze band's third LP, Deceiver, arrives at No. 6 on Independent Albums and No. 19 on Alternative Albums, earning 6,000 equivalent album units (5,000 in album sales) in its first week, according to Nielsen Music.

The set is the group's first since Is the Is Are in 2016.

Meanwhile, NLE Choppa logs his sixth week at No. 1 on Emerging Artists, as his single "Camelot" returns to the Billboard Hot 100's top 40 (42-40) in its fourth week.

The Emerging Artists chart ranks the most popular developing artists of the week, using the same formula as the all-encompassing Billboard Artist 100, which measures artist activity across multiple Billboard charts, including the Hot 100, Billboard 200 and the Social 50. (The Artist 100 lists the most popular acts, overall, each week.) However, the Emerging Artists chart excludes acts that have notched a top 25 entry on either the Hot 100 or Billboard 200, as well as artists that have achieved two or more top 10s on Billboard's "Hot" song genre charts and/or consumption-based "Top" album genre rankings.

Ghost Town Blues Band banks its first No. 1 on a Billboard survey, as new set Shine starts at No. 1 on Blues Albums (2,000 units), sparking the group's No. 36 start on Emerging Artists. Previous effort Backstage Passreached No. 4 on Blues Albums in March 2018, marking the act's first chart entry overall.

Plus, Absofacto debuts at No. 47 on Emerging Artists, fueled by his single "Dissolve," which was remixed by The Knocks and gains by 9% to 3.6 million on-demand U.S. streams in the tracking week. Absofacto is the solo side project of songwriter/producer Jonathan Visger, formerly of alt-rock band Mason Proper.
