In the wake singer's reported overdose, Lovatics are sharing how she's helped them.
As you might expect, Demi Lovato's fans are rallying around the singer in the wake the news that she suffered an apparent narcotics overdose on Tuesday morning (July 24). Along with such fellow music stars as Macklemore, Nick Jonas and many others, including Dua Lipa, Ariana Grande, Brad Paisley, Shawn Mendes, Justin Timberlake, Lovatics are giving back to the "Sober" singer who has been so open and honest with them about her struggle with sobriety and mental illness in the past.
They're doing it through the #HowDemiHasHelpedMe tag, which they're using to share stories about how Lovato's transparency has gotten them through hard times. "In 6th grade i struggled with anorexia & ‘believe in me’ saved me," wrote one fan. "In 7th grade i had my suicide note written & struggled with self harm & ‘skyscraper’ saved me. in 9th grade i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder & ‘warrior’ saved me. i will forever love her."
The inspiring posts include tales how Lovato's music and writing have inspired fans to stay clean, get through break-ups and realize that "it was okay to be broken."
