Dave Rowland of nation group Dave & Sugar has handed away after struggling a stroke. He was 74 years previous.
As lead singer of Dave & Sugar, Rowland racked up many hits over his profession. Dave & Sugar charted 16 tracks on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart between 1975 and 1981, together with three No. 1s: "The Door Is Always Open," "Tear Time" and "Golden Years." The group was recognized for its pop-styled mix of female and male voices, and was typically known as nation's ABBA. Rowland later kicked off his solo profession in 1982.
He is survived by his spouse, Terri Rowland. In lieu of flowers, Rowland's household welcomes fan donations to the Monroe Carrell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.
