DaBaby’s Arena Concert Canceled After Selling Fewer Than 500 Tickets

New Orleans, LA – A DaBaby concert that was set to take place at New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center on Friday (September 2) has been axed due to struggling ticket sales.

According to NOLA.com, fewer than 500 advance tickets for the show had been sold for the 14,000-seater arena, with some going for as little as $35.

Greg Pulver, one of the show’s promoters, cited “business reasons” behind the cancelation, which he described as a “postponement.” He’s currently working on putting together a replacement show on a different date possibly featuring other artists on the lineup alongside DaBaby.

However, the CEO of the booking agency that represents DaBaby claimed it was the rapper’s representatives who pulled the plug on the concert after the promoters did not fulfill the terms of their contract.

“DaBaby’s New Orleans show was pulled by the artist’s team due to the promoter being in breach of contract,” MAC Agency founder Andrew Lieber said. “DaBaby will be back in New Orleans very soon to make it up to his fans.”

Lieber also claimed more tickets had been sold than what was shown on the Ticketmaster listing and disputed the notion that low ticket sales were behind the cancelation.

DaBaby has been in album mode of late with a project seemingly around the corner. Earlier in August, he released a pair of singles with the introspective “Tough Skin” and “WAITRESS.”

It’s been a busy month for the Charlotte, North Carolina native, who also made a special appearance at Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green’s wedding to provide some entertainment for the party.

“The Green’s went MAJOR last night! Y’all did it TOO big. Preciate y’all having me,” DaBaby wrote on Instagram while sharing a video of him performing for the newly-wed couple.
