Tom Conway, a celebrated comedian, and actor who starred in Carol Burnett Show, died at the age of 85 on May 14th, his publicist confirmed. Conway died at his Los Angeles home earlier today after suffering complications from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

Conway’s known for his role on The Carol Burnett Show that ran for over a decade from the late 60s to the late 70s. He won three Emmys from his work as a co-star on the show as well as the fourth member of the show’s writing team. He, later on, hosted his own variety show The Tim Conway Show and The Tim Conway Comedy Hour. He later voiced Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy in Spongebob Squarepants and also won additional Emmys for his roles in Coach and 30 Rock.
“I’m heartbroken. He was one in a million, not only as a brilliant comedian but as a loving human being,” Burnett tsaid. “I cherish the times we had together both on the screen and off. He’ll be in my heart forever.”
Conway is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Charlene Fusco, as well as his six children he had with his first time, Mary Anne Dalton from 1961 to 1978.
Tim Conway’s family requested that donations be made to The Lou Ruvo Brain Center at Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada instead of sending gifts.
