Codiscos has extended its publishing deal with Sunflower Entertainment, Billboard has learned.
The new agreement with Codiscos includes expanded rights in several key European territories and monetization on YouTube, Facebook and new technology platforms. Codiscos, first signed to Sunflower Entertainment in 2012 for US publishing representation.
"Codiscos is looking forward to work jointly with Sunflower Entertainment in this new, expanded territory deal,” said Adriana Restrepo, Codiscos President in a statement.
Based in Medellin, Colombia, Codiscos was founded in 1950 is one the oldest and largest record labels and publishers in South America. Their catalog includes Wolfine’s hit "Bella" and it also encompasses their past catalog Spanish language hits, including songs performed by Maelo Ruiz, Peter Manjarres, Felipe Pelaez, and Nicky Jam.
Sunflower has recently placed Codiscos songs in recent high prile productions such as Netflix’s Narcos, Zumba Fitness and CBS’ MacGyver.
