Chris Stapleton has announced benefit show A Concert For Kentucky that will feature appearances from the country star alongside Willie Nelson and Family, Sheryl Crow and Yola. Presented by Live Nation, the concert will benefit Stapleton’s newly created Outlaw State of Kind Hometown Fund.
The show will take place at University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field on April 25 with 100% of the proceeds going to Chris and Morgane Stapleton’s Hometown Fund. Established in partnership with the Blue Grass Community Foundation, the fund will specifically support local and national organizations directly impacting Kentucky, with initial grant distributions focusing on music and arts education.
Stapleton is currently on his 2019 All-American Road Show with special guests Brothers Osborne and Kendell Marvel. The tour is making its way across the U.S. throughout October and is scheduled to conclude on Nov. 2 at KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Ky.
Last month, the Academy of Country Music announced Stapleton as recipient of their first ever ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Decade Award. The ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Decade Award is defined as an artist who has commercially released material, written in whole or in part by the artist. This award recognizes a songwriter whose creative works and performance have impacted country music over the decade.
A Concert For Kentucky will go on sale Oct. 11 at 10am local time. Stapleton Fan Club pre-sales will begin Oct. 8 at 10an local time.
