The Lumineers, Childish Gambino and J Balvin are also joining the Aug. 2-4 festival's packed lineup.
It's been 17 years since Chemical Brothers played Metropolis, the 2,000-cap Montreal nightclub that's been renamed MTELUS and is one of the city's most popular dance music venues. But this summer Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons are returning to the city to headline Osheaga, the fiercely independent festival promoted by Canadian promoters Evenko.
The Chemical Brothers will headline Saturday night, while popular folk rockers The Lumineers will open the three-day festival and Childish Gambino will close it out on Sunday.
Osheaga will return to Parc Jean-Drapeau along the city's riverfront with over 100 artists including Tame Impala, Janelle Monae (who hasn't played Montreal since 2012) and red hot Latin artists J Balvin and Rosalía. Flume is kicking off his tour at Osheaga, which also has sets from Koffee Brown, Dean Lewis, 2018 Juno breakthrough artist award-winning Jessie Reyez, Gucci Mane and Mitski. A full lineup is available below.
