Chance The Rapper released his Coloring Book mixtape on May 13 in 2016. Fast-forward to that same day in 2019, when the Chicago native decided to give fans a taste of what they could expect from his long-awaited debut full-length album by teasing a portion of a song from the project.
"Drop a [fire emoji] in the comments and I’ll drop the song before it get to hot outside #owbum," he wrote. The clip features Number9ok, Tisakorean, Walter Bowser, and Chano all taking turns dancing to the record.
Cardi B hopped in Chance's comments to give her stamp of approval for a bar referencing Pokemon trainer Ash Ketchum. "I choose you look [like] Ash FUEGO," she wrote with several fire emojis. The "No Problem" rapper teamed with Cardi for "Best Life" on her Invasion of Privacy album, so we'll see if she returns the favor on his debut.
Forbes recently caught up with the 26-year-old about his upcoming WE Day in Los Angeles. The conversation progressed to where Chance admitted that Michael Jackson was actually his musical role model when it came to philanthropy.
"The greatest of all time, highest I think maybe for overall celebrities, but most philanthropic musician is Michael Joseph Jackson. I think he donated over $600 million to charities and more afterwards," he explained. "Obviously in his music it was extremely provocative, gets the people going. The only person I can really think of off the top when I think of charity that's a musician is Michael Jackson."
Check out a preview of some new tunes from Chance below. The album is expected to arrive in July.
