In a CRS registration announcement released Tuesday afternoon (July 23), it was revealed that Underwood is confirmed for “The CRS Artist Interview” on Feb. 21, while “A Conversation With Miranda Lambert” will occur on opening day of the seminar Feb. 19.
Additional panels include “Maximizing Metrics,” which tracks consumption data, as well as “All the Singles Ladies” and “Separate But Not Equal,” which will discuss the airplay gender imbalance.
The news comes in the wake of CRS coming under criticism this year for not addressing the issue faced with the lack of women on country radio. Following CRS 2019, Country Radio Broadcasters launched the monthly webinar series “CRS360.” The first webinar served as a deep dive into the gender imbalance, with CRB executive director RJ Curtis previously telling Billboard the plan for each webinar is to provide information and facilitate a discussion within the industry.
"What we want to do is provide information that maybe people haven't considered and that will be helpful," Curtis said.
CRS 2020 will be held Feb. 19-21, 2020, in Nashville. Registration for the event begins Aug. 1 at 10 a.m. CT for a rate of $549 for one day only. The price for the three-day seminar will then increase. Tickets can be purchased countryradioseminar.com.
