E! is getting set to roll out their True Hollywood Story based on Cardi B’s life on March 15. Everybody involved with the program will be talking about the Bronx bombshell except for the Grammy-winning rapper herself. Cardi took to Twitter to question E!’s decision to run the documentary and not even ask for her blessing.
“I love E! And I always been grateful for all the love but I did not approve of the E Hollywood story,” she wrote. “My life is my story. How can someone tell my story without asking me?”
Cardi continued, “But hey maybe the story will be good IDK. I mean I haven’t seen it. However, I would love to tell my story myself when I’m ready. I been thru & been influenced by a lot of bad shit since a teenager That when I’m ready I will like to talk about.”
One part E! may have to add to the story is Cardi’s historic achievement from earlier this week when she became the first woman rapper ever to earn a diamond single with her 2017 breakout smash “Bodak Yellow.”
“Thank you every1 that send me beautiful congrats on Bodak going Diamond,” she penned to Instagram thanking her fans. “A couple of years ago I didn’t even understand what going diamond means or meant I just wanted to win and break in.This record changed my life.Thank you everyone who showed Bodak so much support and support and buy till THIS DAY.”
Prior to the E! True Hollywood Story premiere on March 15, Cardi will be gracing the Grammy Award stage as one of the night’s performers on Sunday (March 14).
