Cardi B Outlines Plans For Album No. 2 Following Joe Budden Prediction

Cardi B has been discussing the follow-up to her Grammy Award-winning debut album Invasion Of Privacy since 2018. With news of her second pregnancy arriving during the 2021 BET Awards on June 27, commentators such as Joe Budden are weighing in with their opinions.

On episode 451 of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden prophesied Cardi was likely done dropping albums.

“Let me tell you, y’all are never getting a Cardi album again,” Budden said around the 6:10 minute-mark. “Let me tell y’all something. Cardi was broke, not real broke but her broke when that first album came and Offset was there.

“Remember y’all audience was making it a big deal she was with Offset? Y’all did that. See, the audience is so phony and so fucking fickle, y’all said that. And now look. It’s Cardi, independent of her husband that she’s still there with.”

After a fan caught the clip and tweeted Budden’s prediction to social media, Cardi B retaliated on Twitter Saturday (July 3), laying down the framework for when she’ll give birth to her second child, plans for the future and second album.

“Well he deadass wrong,” she wrote. “watch when I push out this baby wait 6 months go to Colombia get a lipo, breast reduction, learn how to pole dance again , learn how to play spade and get my political science degree and pop out with my album …Yeup Yeup he going to wrong muahaha.”

Judging by the timeline, fans would have to wait until 2022 to hear Cardi B’s next full-length. In between albums, she’s dropped the No. 1 single “WAP” with Megan Thee Stallion, released another No. 1 single of her own “Up” and appeared on features for DJ Khaled, Migos and more.

While Cardi’s plans for the future also include a political science degree and learning how to play the popular card game Spades, the 28-year-old Bronx rapper revealed on Friday (July 2) how thankful she was she didn’t go through with one teenage dream she had — a face tattoo.

“Everyday I’m thankful at the fact that ain’t get this face tatt I wanted when I was 16,” she wrote. “Little stars from the top of my eyebrow swirling down to my jaw.”
