LOS ANGELES, CA – Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion joined forces to perform WAP” for the first time on the Grammy Awards stage Sunday night (March 14). Cardi also debuted her “Up” single for the socially distanced audience and provided one of the more memorable moments of the entire remodeled show.

During the transition from her latest single into the raunchy “WAP,” Cardi took it back to her days where she was dancing for dollars and showed off some moves on a stripper pole which extended down as part of a gigantic heel. The steamy image that has fans talking and is sure to make Fox News angry took place at the end of the performance when Megan joined Cardi on a giant bed and the rap duo intertwined for a few seconds.

“I hope you guys enjoyed The UP/WAP performance,” Cardi B wrote after taking the stage. “Boyyy I was tired but I didn’t want to make my fans wait so long for a performance. Love you guys. Congrats on all the winners tonight.”

Cardi actually didn’t submit the spicy collab for the Grammy Awards this year, which would have meant the Houston Hottie was competing against herself after “Savage (Remix)” took home honors for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance. Megan Thee Stallion also won Best New Artist on Sunday for her third win in four nominations.

While Cardi didn’t collect any hardware at the 2021 awards, the accolades still continue to pile up. “WAP” is already 5x-platinum and the Bronx native made history by becoming the first woman rapper to own a diamond-certified single with her 2017 breakthrough hit “Bodak Yellow.”
