Two weeks back, Brockhamptonbroke news that their fifth studio album — their first since last year's Iridescence — would drop sometime in August. Well, August is here, and on day one (Aug. 1), the rap collective has already begun to make good on that promise.
This morning, Brockhampton dropped the music video for "I Been Born Again," their first new music since topping the Billboard 200 last September with Iridescence (bandleader Kevin Abstract dropped his solo album Arizona Baby in April). The boisterous track features all six Brockhmapton vocalists over a beat produced by the group's Romil Hemnani and Jabari Manwa.
Ginger, the band's forthcoming full length, still has no official release date. However, the official pre-sale site features a countdown clock that's set to expire this Sunday afternoon, EST. Could we be getting the entire project before August's first week is through? Stay tuned.
Directed by the band's friend Spencer Ford, the gritty, black-and-white video features 360-degree footage of Brockhampton kicking it on a dark, lamp-lit street.
