They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but distance certainly helps with that — and Blake Shelton seems to be missing Gwen Stefani something fierce now that he's in the midst of his national tour.
The country star and Voice coach picked up a copy of Love. Angel. Music. Baby., Stefani's 2004 solo debut album after an audience member hurled it onto the stage on Friday night (March 22) at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
"She is awesome! And hot!" he declared. He then pulled the record close to his face and planted a kiss — or few — on the cover before apologizing to the laughing and cheering crowd. "I haven't seen here in a couple weeks, so…" When someone shouted out asking if they could take the album off his hands, he said no, but then got back to work. "A lot of people didn't come here for hookin' up or makin' out with pictures…"
Shelton's Friends and Heroes tour wraps tonight (March 23) in Albany, N.Y., so thankfully he'll be reuniting with his beloved ASAP.
