Black Panther Continues To Shatter Records, Tops 1 Billion Worldwide

Black Panther has reached yet another plateau. The franchise has now seen its gross revenue top the billion dollar mark. Hear me out: $1 Billion in 26 days.

That distinction put the film in elite, one 33 films to surpass that mark, and the 16th by Disney Corp. To break it down further, that puts Black Panther at $521 million domestically in the U.S. alone, ranking it 9th All-Time and its still rising.

Numbers like this were surely played a part in Marvel's decision to green light the Black Panther sequel, somewhere in their upcoming roster projects. Something tells me, some these titles will have to make way for it. No other details are available from which to draw plot lines or release dates for the second coming the franchise.

Furthermore, Black Panther is up against A Wrinkle In Time at the box fice, and is still expect rake in $40 million over the course this weekend. The Ryan Coogler film is showing no signs slowing down, as movie-goers are literally going back for seconds and thirds. They'll have to be cut f from their food source.
