Billboard Dance Chart Upstarts: Seeb, Martin Garrix & LOOPERS, Manuel Rivera

Each week, Billboard Dance looks at songs & albums rising on Billboard’s dance charts.

Seeb featuring Skylar Grey, “Say You Love Me”

Norwegian DJ trio Seeb (Espen Berg, Simen Eriksrud and Niklas Strandbraaten) snags a No. 24 start on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart (dated May 5) with “Say You Love Me,” featuring Skylar Grey. The track, from the act's debut EP, Nice to Meet You, sold 2,000 downloads in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music. “Say” is Seeb's second entry on the chart, following its track with OneRepublic, “Rich Love,” which hit No. 5 last August. It's Grey's third track to reach the ranking, after two David Guetta songs on which she's featured: “Shot Me Down” (No. 10, 2014) and “Rise” (No. 15, 2015).

Martin Garrix & LOOPERS, “Game Over”

Dutch DJs Martin Garrix and LOOPERS debut on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 45 with “Game Over.” The energetic instrumental earned 819,000 U.S. streams and sold 1,000 downloads in its opening frame. “Game” is the 22nd entry (a sum that includes four top 10s) for chart veteran Garrix and the first on any Billboard chart for LOOPERS.

Manuel Riva featuring Alexandra Stan, “Miami”

Romanian DJ Manuel Riva rolls onto Dance Club Songs at No. 50 with “Miami,” featuring vocals from a fellow Romanian, singer Alexandra Stan. Riva earns his second Billboard chart appearance, following “Mhm Mhm” (featuring Eneli), which rose to No. 25 in 2016. “Miami” is the second Dance Club Songs showing for Stan, whose breakout global smash “Mr. Saxobeat” reached No. 37 in August 2011; it led Dance/Mix Show Airplay for seven weeks and hit No. 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 that year. The laid-back “Miami” original was remixed by Cristian Poow, Gabriel M and Hauz Brothers, among others.
