Lucas & Steve x Brandy, “I Could Be Wrong”
Dutch DJ duo Lucas & Steve (Lucas de Wert and Steven Jansen), teaming with veteran R&B singer Brandy, debuts at No. 47 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated June 23) with “I Could Be Wrong.” It's the first chart hit for Lucas & Steve and the second for Brandy, who reached No. 20 in February 2016 with “The Girl Is Mine” (credited to 99 Souls featuring Destiny's Child & Brandy). “Wrong” earned 355,000 U.S. streams in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.
Studio Killers, “Party Like It's Your Birthday”
European electronic audio visual collective Studio Killers (Cherry, Goldie Foxx and Dyna Mink) command their first appearance on a Billboard dance chart, beginning at No. 17 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales with “Party Like It's Your Birthday,” which song sold 1,000 downloads in the tracking week. “Party” also starts at No. 9 on Finland Digital Song Sales, where the act has logged three hits, previously charting with “Jenny” (No. 3, 2013) and “Ode to the Bouncer” (No. 9, 2011).
Chicane, The Place You Can't Remember, The Place You Can't Forget
UK-based trance act Chicane (aka Nicholas Bracegirdle) chugs onto Dance/Electronic Album Sales at No. 8 with The Place You Can't Remember, The Place You Can't Forget. It's the act's first top 10 in four appearances and its best sales week (1,000) since its first charted set, The Sum Its Parts (also 1,000, although slightly higher than the new set's sum before rounding f; No. 20, February 2015). Chicane scored three top 10s among four entries on Dance Club Songs in1997-2000: “Offshore” (No. 5, 1997), “Strong in Love” (featuring Mason; No. 5, 1998) and “Don't Give Up” (featuring Bryan Adams; No. 3, 2000).
