ATEEZ Debut on Social 50 as World Tour Comes to a Close


The rising K-pop boy band continue to show growing promise by entering another new Billboard chart this year.

As ATEEZ's sold-out world tour wraps up this weekend in Moscow, the rising K-pop boy band can truly say they've made a connection with their fans — and it shows on the charts.

The eight-member act makes their debut on Billboard's Social 50 chart this week, staring at No. 49 on the chart dated April 20. In the past week, ATEEZ's biggest jump in activity came from their Twitter account as the band earned 129,000 retweets and 64,000 mentions on Twitter, along with 7,000 new followers. That past week included updates from the members sharing photos of themselves in New York, the U.K., France and in other group activities.

The Social 50 is powered by data tracked by music analytics company Next Big Sound and ranks the most popular artists on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Wikipedia and Tumblr. The chart's methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers with artist page views and engagement. The chart's latest tracking week ended April 11 and is led by three K-pop acts — BTS, EXO and BLACKPINK — occupying the top 3 slots.

2019 continues to be a year of new chart accomplishments for ATEEZ as the band hit new heights on World Albums as well as made their debut on the Heatseekers Albums chart with the release of their Treasure EP.2: Zero to One record.
