Arctic Monkeys Get Mellow on 'Tonight Show' with Psychedelic 'Four Out Of Five' Performance: Watch

After five quiet years, British rockers Arctic Monkeys made their epic return to The Tonight Show on Thursday night (May 11) to perform their funky new song “Four Out Five.” The elegant, slow-building psychedelic track is featured on the band's new album, Tranquility Base Hotel, which was released on Friday (May 11). Singer Alex Turner, clad in a 70’s style tan jacket, matching trousers and wide-rimmed ators, emoted from behind his keyboard on the Tonight Show set, while fluorescent lights gently beamed around him and the rest the band.

As the track reached its pinnacle Turner stood up, arms wide while Fallon rushed over and said. “Fantastic!”

“This track has a sci-fi bent,” Turner said in an interview with Pitchfork. He added that the song “is a reference to the idea how we have so much knowledge at our fingertips but don’t quite know what to do with it.”
