The Sept. 28 clip was uploaded the same day as the legendary Mexican singer’s death at 71.
Ana Barbara’s Facebook Live tribute to the late Jose Jose is the top entry on Billboard’s Top Facebook Live Videos chart for September 2019.
The chart, the latest of which recaps September 2019 activity, is a monthly look at the widest-reaching and most-reacted-to videos posted by musicians on Facebook Live, as tracked by media analytics company Shareablee. Rankings are determined by a formula that blends reactions, comments, shares and first-seven-days views.
Barbara’s Sept. 28 upload paid tribute to Jose Jose, who died that day at 71 years old, in a nearly 20-minute clip. Barbara participated in a 2008 tribute concert to the legendary singer, performing “Lo Pasado,” and also performed a cappella to him during the 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards (Barbara hosted the event, while Jose Jose received a lifetime achievement award).
Barbara’s video rules the list by leading in all four chart metrics, garnering 64,000 reactions, 24,000 comments, 7,000 shares and 2.8 million views in its first seven days, according to Shareablee.
The video leads a Sept. 15 video from Afrojack, who livestreamed his Ultra Japan performance; in all, his clip earned 51,000 reactions, 6,000 comments, 4,000 shares and was viewed 2 million times in its first seven days.
