Against the Current Announces Sophomore Album, Shares EDM-Tinged 'Personal'

The trio’s new LP is titled Past Lives and it’s due Sept. 28. They’ve also shared a new track, a sparkly electro-pop song called “Personal.”

Back in May, ATC released a two-song bundle featuring “Strangers Again” and “Almost Forgot,” their first new music since their 2016 debut, In Our Bones. Along with “Personal,” the new music trades in the pop-punk affectations their debut for a beat-driven electronic pop sound.

Listen to all three tracks below (including a new video for “Almost Forgot,” which also debuted on Friday (Aug. 17).

The trio vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer-keyboardist Will Ferri is currently on tour in South America, with Mexican and European shows scheduled through mid-October. Find those dates and the new album pre-order here.
