Aerosmith Drummer Joey Kramer to Miss Second Las Vegas Residency Show Due to Injury: Report

Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer was noticeably absent during the eighth night of the veteran rock group's Deuces Are Wild residency show at the Park Theater in Las Vegas on Tuesday night. Eagle-eyed fans noticed that Kramer was replaced by his drum tech John Douglas, which the band explained in a statement to the Las Vegas Review-Journal was due to an accident suffered by the 68 year-old musician.

“Joey had a minor accident and is totally fine, but he hurt his shoulder in the process so he won’t be playing tomorrow," read the statement, which did not describe the injury; a spokesperson for the group could not be reached for comment at press time. Kramer is the band's original drummer and he was behind the kit on Sunday night according to the Review-Journal, which also reported that Kramer will miss Friday night's (April 26) gig as well.

Kramer missed a week of shows in 2014 after undergoing a heart procedure, with his son Jesse filling in at that time.
