A Look at Nicki Minaj’s Multi-Genre Chart Dominance, From Hip-Hop to Latin, Reggae, Gospel & More

Minaj has led lists beyond her core sound thanks in part to collabs with BTS and others.
As previously reported, Karol G and Nicki Minaj's "Tusa" launches at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Nov. 23), becoming the first entry by two lead female artists to start at the summit.
While Karol G earns her third leader on the list, Minaj notches her first, as she expands her chart-topping résumé to another genre.
Notably, "Tusa" is Minaj's first No. 1 on any Billboard Latin chart. While she has led such surveys covering her core sound, including the multi-metric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts, as well as the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop, Rhythmic Songs and Pop Songs airplay charts, she's also commanded rankings ranging from Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Dance Club Songs to Reggae Digital Song Sales, Hot Gospel Songs and World Digital Song Sales.
R&B/hip-hop, rhythmic, pop
Minaj has scored four No. 1s (among 29 top 10s) on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, with "Anaconda" marking her longest-leading hit: six weeks at No. 1 in 2014. She boasts five No. 1s (among 33 top 10s) on Hot Rap Songs, where "Moment 4 Life" marks her longest reign: nine weeks, 2011.
On the Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop and Rhythmic Songs airplay rankings, Minaj boasts nine and eight No. 1s, respectively (among a respective 32 and 33 top 10s).
Minaj has led Pop Songs Ariana Grande's No. 1 "Side to Side," featuring Minaj. The track ruled for five weeks in 2016-17.
Dance/electronic
Minaj totaled 11 weeks atop the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart in 2015 as featured, with Bebe Rexha and Afrojack, on David Guetta's "Hey Mama."
On Dance Club Songs, Minaj has scored six No. 1s; of those, she sports lead billing on 2012's "Pound the Alarm."
Reggae, gospel, world
Meanwhile, Minaj has dominated charts measuring other formats, reflecting her versatility and wide-ranging appeal. She's made one appearance on each of the following three surveys, with each entry hitting No. 1.
On Reggae Digital Song Sales, she led for a week in November 2013 as featured on Mavado's "Give It All to Me."
In September 2017, Tasha Cobbs Leonard's "I'm Getting Ready," featuring Minaj, debuted at No. 1 on the multi-metric Hot Gospel Songs chart. The track went on to spend an entire year on the ranking.
Plus, in August 2018, BTS' "Idol," featuring Minaj, debuted atop World Digital Song Sales and reigned for six weeks (and likewise charted for a full year).
