6ix9ine is recovering after a freak accident where he broke his wrist.
The rapper, who was released from house arrest earlier this month, went downstairs to grab some food around 3 a.m. on Tuesday when he tripped over his 1-year-old French bulldog, Poppy, and injured himself while trying to break his fall.
6ix9ine tells TMZ that his hand got caught in the stairway banister and he broke a bone in the back of his wrist. He experienced pain but didn’t know that he broke his wrist until later in the morning when he woke up and it was still hurting.
He went to the hospital and got an X-ray, which revealed the fracture. He will spend the next three to five weeks in a cast.
Tekashi took to Instagram to share a video of his arm and wrist getting wrapped by a nurse. “I got caught lacking in these streets,” he captioned the clip.
He completed his home confinement on Aug. 1, four months after his release from prison. Just 24 hours later, he shot and premiered a video for his latest single “PUNANI.”
Tekashi, who may be expecting a baby with girlfriend Jade, is scheduled to perform music off his upcoming album during a virtual concert on Sept. 5. He was reportedly paid $5 million for the performance.
