2 Chainz Spots Bootleg ‘So Help Me God!’ CDs … & Has To Make A Decision

Bootlegged CDs were a staple of any rap fan’s collection at one point, but now they are nearly obsolete with streaming services and digital marketplaces taking over the industry.

While taking a trip inside a gas station’s mini-mart Thursday afternoon (April 1), 2 Chainz came across a collection of bootlegged rap albums being sold for $3.99 apiece. After sifting through the random CDs, he actualy saw his 2020 So Help Me God! album.

“$2.99 or three dollars? $3.99. Lemme get two,” he jokes with the cashier who probably has no idea that 2 Chainz is buying a bootlegged version of his own album. There also looks to be a fake Pop Smoke project made by a fan in the gas station’s collection sitting behind Chainz’s album.

He didn’t seem to be angry either, as he was just laughing off the effort shown by people to make a few dollars and he even gave himself the new nickname of “Bootleg Toni.”

So Help Me God! released in November 2020 with loaded features from YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Mulatto, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Uzi Vert and Chief Keef.

Earlier this week, 2 Chainz helped Juicy J run up a tab as part of their “Spend It” visual alongside Lil Baby. The track landed on Juicy’s The Hustle Continues album and he expects to drop the deluxe in May.
