As soon as you can reach the decks, you're old enough to learn how to DJ. Ghana's 10-year-old DJ Switch still needs a box to reach her tables, but that didn't stop her from winning the country's annual DJ competition. BBC interviewed the smiling beacon music and positivity, and in just under two minutes, she's won us over for life.
Born Erica, DJ Switch started DJing when she was nine.
"I picked the name DJ Switch because I switch up people's happiness," she says. DJ Switch also dances, plays cultural drums, trumpet and is learning piano. DJing is her "passion," but she wants to grow up to be a gynecologist because she "wants to help women."
DJ Switch has an original song out with her mother, "Deceiver," which you can check out, as well as the BBC interview with DJ Switch below.
