10 Songs That Celebrate Puerto Rican Culture


The 62nd annual Puerto Rican day parade in New York city is around the corner. All of the Boricuas in the city are getting ready to hit the streets to celebrate their culture and heritage during the big event, which will take place on Sunday, June 9. 

This year, Ricky Martin has been named the grand marshall, while singer La India will be the madrina (godmother) and José Feliciano is the lifetime achievement award recipient.

To join the festivities, Billboard compiled the 10 best songs that make Puerto Ricans proud of their culture. You'll find Ednita Nanzario's "Soy Tuya," "Salimos de Aqui" by Fiel a la Vega and Marc Anthony's "Preciosa," plus more, on the list.
