Rising boy band Why Don't We stopped by The Late Late Show With James Corden on Tuesday (Sept. 11) to deliver an emotionally charged performance their new single "8 Letters," from their debut album the same title.
The group started the song sitting in a circle on a moving platform, while the dark lighting smoothly followed each member as they sang their part. With gentle vocals, the boys fered melodic variations as they passionately poured their hearts out with every line.
The pop tune is a heartfelt piano ballad that deals with the struggle saying "I Love You" -- the 8 letters teased in the songs title -- fering emotive lyrics like the chorus, "If all it is is eight letters / Why am I in my own way? / Why do I pull you close / And then ask you for space / If all it is is eight letters / Why is it so hard to say?"
Why Don't We's Corden appearance marked the group's late night debut, following performances on Live With Kelly and Ryan, TRL and the Today show's summer concert series. The fivesome recently announced a North American tour in support 8 Letters -- which just debuted in the top 10 the Billboard 200 -- for early 2019, and will be returning to Europe next month for a handful shows.
