Snoop Dogg Launching New Strains Of Weed To Be Sold In Canada


Rap star Snoop Dogg is expanding his cannabis empire into Canada, with the launch Canadian Leafs By Snoop for the local market.

Snoop is in partnership with Tweed, Canada’s largest legalized producer cannabis and other products.

Over the past few months, Snoop has been working with the scientists at Tweed to develop  unique, exotic strains, In an attempt to meet a variety patients medical needs.

Canadian Leafs by Snoop will come in three varieties: Sunset, Ocean View and Palm Tree CBD – a nod to the West Coast rapper’s California heritage.

“Like Hip-Hop, cannabis is as much a lifestyle as it is a culture. Leafs by Snoop is an expression my experience with that culture over decades on the scene,” Snoop told in a statement.

“What started for me in the 90s in Cali now has a home in places like Colorado, where real progress is being made,” Snoop said. “Now that Leafs by Snoop is coming to Tweed, I’ll be able to share my passion for the best cannabis on the planet with Canada.”

Eventually, Snoop and Tweed plan to expand further into the Canadian market with a variety cannabis-based products.

“At this stage in his career, Snoop is much more than an artist, entertainer and entrepreneur,” said Mark Zekulin, President Tweed.  “He’s also one the most trusted voices in cannabis the world over. With this partnership we’re welcoming a cannabis culture icon into the Canadian industry, and as a true partner the Tweed team.”

On October 27, Snoop is heading to Toronto, where he will celebrate the launch the line with a private party celebrating his birthday, along with thousands Tweed customers.

The move adds to Snoop’s growing weed empire. In addition to his Casa Verde cannabis venture fund, the rapper has, which also launched a television show in partnership with MTV titled “Merry Jane.”
