With Nicki Minaj's eyes dialed in on her August 17 release date for Queen, the "Chun-Li" MC is doing everything in her power to have a splashy rollout. On Thursday afternoon (August 9), MTV announced that Minaj will perform at the 2018 Video Music Awards from a surprise remote location in New York City.
Minaj's inclusion bolsters the already starry roster performers slated to touch down at Radio City Hall on August 20. Along with Minaj, Travis Scott, Post Malone, Logic, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and this year's Michael Jackson Vanguard recipient, Jennifer Lopez, will grace the stage too.
Earlier this week, Minaj announced on Instagram her new Beats 1 show Queen Radio. "I’ll be conducting a live Q&A portion my very first show. Prizes for the best comments & questions include signed albums, signed merch, tour tickets], AND plane tickets to discuss #QUEENw|ME & other members the magical KINGDOM," Nicki wrote.
The 2018 VMAs will air August 20 at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
