03 Greedo is sticking to his promise to keep delivering music at a furious pace prior to entering prison on a 20-year sentence due to various drug and weapons-related charges. On Friday (June 22), The LA rapper blessed fans with the release his "Never Bend (Remix)," featuring an extended verse from the eccentric Lil Uzi Vert.
Uzi injects himself into the tune for a brash verse and even takes aim at Rich the Kid with several subliminal shots. The pair emerging stars have remained engaged in a war words throughout 2018. The feud turned physical when the artists and their entourages were involved in an altercation during The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia earlier in June.
The Philly-bred rapper recounts his confrontation with Rich the Kid at a Starbucks. "I can't believe you out here in these streets livin' lies/ You really think that you tough/ Callin' his bluff but we really be loadin' them nines/ They DM'ed me at 8:05/ Put it on me, had that boy gone like 8:59 (on me)," the 23-year-old rhymes.
Greedo is grateful for the opportunity to work with Lil Uzi Vert. He went so far as calling the collaboration "one the most genuine, helpful things someone has done for me in this industry." 03 believes his status has been elevated as a result working alongside the Grammy-nominated artist. "That feature changed my fanbase to where it needed to be. Rockstar status," Greedo told Complex.
